Kyohei Sera is a forward at ETU with jersey no. 20. He made it into the starting line-up when Takeshi Tatsumi became coach.
Sera believes that the job of a forward is to score goals and his dream is to do a backflip in celebration after scoring the winning goal. Following the return of Natsuki, Sera became worried about keeping his position as the first choice striker as the ETU formation at the time only required a lone striker.
He became determined to prove himself by scoring a goal but in his zealousness managed to sustain an injury that kept his out of subsequent games, during which Natsuki played and scored. Observing from the the sidelines, Katsura Fujisawa wondered if recent developments were to be interpreted as a battle between the three strikers (Natsuki, Sera and Sakai) for the lone position of striker. However, shortly after, Tatsumi switched to a two striker format in the game against the Osaka Gunners.
Sera is hot tempered but determined and has a lot of spirit. The most spirited player in ETU according to the team. On the outside he is spirited and supports his teamates but his determination to succeed and prove himself is an ongoing battle. On a number of times Sera has called himself an idiot for not succeeding and scoring. Sera knows he is not as physically strong as his teammates and as a footballer it doesn't help that he is small. Because of his insecurities Sera doubts if Tatsumi will keep him a starting player and strives to score goals to be kept on the team.
"I'm not physically strong... I'm also short and an idiot. Not only that, but my technique is barely existant. I basically lack in every aspect that a pro player needs. I don't have any talent." - Sera
Tatsumi is aware of how Sera feels, but believes that someone like Sera will surpass talent and that the effort Sera puts in will make the team stronger.
Sera, wanting to carry on enjoying football and being a forward starts to get some confidence from both Tatsumi and Sakai.
