Kota Tanuma (田沼 幸太 Tanuma Kōta) is a student at East Tokyo United's football academy and Goro Tanuma's son.
Kota used to find ETU's playing style boring, but since Takeshi Tatsumi took over, he finds ETU exciting. He wanted to get Tatsumi's autograph but didn't voice it out loud as he thought his friends would think he was silly for wanting a coach's signature.
After the fight between his father's crew and the United Skulls, Kota got colder with his father and mentioned to his friends that he does not trust the 'grown-up' supporters. As such, him and his friends decided to create Okko, the first kid-only ETU supporters' group[1].
Etymology[]
- The name Kota means "happiness, good luck" (幸) (ko) and "thick, big" (太) (ta).
- Kota's surname Tanuma means "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta) and "swamp, pond, bog" (沼) (numa).
Trivia[]
- Like Goro Tanuma, Kota is a big ETU fan.
